Yesterday was my first Civil Partnership. The lovely Lynne and Marie made their committment to each other at the Brisbane House Hotel, right in the middle of the opening events for the Viking Festival. Their Ceremony was punctuated by fly pasts from stunt planes, brass bands playing and cheerleaders on motorbikes. I think even they were a little overwhelmed!
It was a nice relaxed day, with a very supportive group of family and friends gathered to wish them well. A good time was had by all.
The weather men had promised storms and rain, instead they had sunshine all day (2 drops of rain, but they hardly count!).
Now I have to prepare for my autumn weddings, which means training myself to juggle an umbrella and a camera at the same time! Though some summer weddings in Scotland aren't a whole lot different.
