Friday night saw me descending the stairs down into the Baby Blues Club again. Glasgow's speakeasy returned to Canvas at Arta with a new compere, Sean Reid, Michelle Elli, Claudette, Rebecca and another guest singer provided the musical entertainment with Sean. Scarlett Flame adding the burlesque element to the evening. The music was divine, despite a dropped lyric here or there, and the atmosphere electric. Sean kept the crowd entertained and amped up between sets.  Two confused Australians were even tempted down for the second half of the show after dining upstairs. I'm a bit gutted that I won't make the next show due to a wedding, but I encourage anyone with a love of big band classic jazz and blues to step down to the next shot on 3rd August.      |
