Well, this blog may yet serve a use.
I am looking for a stylist to assist me over a series of shoots in Autumn and Winter. This would be primarily focusing on bridal and wedding themes and would be at locations throughout Central and Southern Scotland, though possibly straying Northwards too.
I would be looking for someone who is interested in the bridal market, has good contacts in that area or is willing to work hard to develop those contacts for each shoot. This might suit someone who is a wedding coordinator, or someone looking to break into that field, or it may also suit someone with a good fashion eye.
We would be looking to liaise with the venue for each shoot to source local suppliers that might be interested in taking part as well as sourcing bridal wear and accessories from bespoke, boutique and vintage sources. Ideally each shoot will have a strong theme or look and we would be aiming to create a range of editorially attractive images as well as some that showed the drama, joy and excitement of a wedding. So a mixture of high fashion, editorial and informal images to suit each venue. Some shoots would involve just bridal models, others may be centred round a couple or a bride and bridesmaids or even mothers of the bride.
Each shoot would be approximately 4-6 hours and there would be travel time on top of that. I can pick up and drop off from Glasgow/Edinburgh or points between and I'd also take care of most of the picking up and dropping off of items.
One location is already scheduled around 20th October 2013 in Fife. Others will be arranged through the rest of Autumn/Winter and through to March next year. I'd be aiming to complete at least half a dozen such shoots over this period.
You need to be professional in your appearance and attitude with good people skills, a certain degree of charm and a lot of brass neck.
This position is not paid, though travel and food would be covered for each shoot. Images would be shared and credited with all those taking part.
