Saturday dawned bright and sunny with blue skies. After a driech Friday we couldn't have asked for better weather for Alan and Stacy's wedding in Port Glasgow. I was even fighting sun dazzle at some angles and rearranging shots to avoid squinting eyes. September couldn't have been kinder to us.
The Holy Family Church, a modern block of concrete type church was nicely airy and well lit inside, lending itself well to shots of the ceremony and a few post ceremony shots. We'd spoken to the Erskine Hospital beforehand and did some of the bridal party shots at the lovely old buildings at the back, before adjourning to the Erskine Bridge Hotel for the reception, shots with family and friends and a resounding finale from Drumming Clan and their tribal pipe and drums for an ad hoc ceilidh.
All great fun, with a happy crowd, thanks mostly I think to the glorious weather.
