The week began with one name in all our thoughts, Bertha. The threat of a hurricane from across the atlantic. As the week progressed it was downgraded and thunder and lighting turned to a prediction of frequent showers.
In the end Saturday dawned dry and fairly bright, with just a changeable breeze so I breathed a huge sigh of relief as I walked along the seafront in Largs to the Brisbane House Hotel for Deborah and Lee's wedding.
Things were fairly relaxed as I walked in on Deborah and her party getting the finishing touches to their makeup from Melanie Jane. And the day stayed mostly calm and relaxed throughout.
The wedding proceeded like clockwork with the smooth organisational skills of the hotel team and we managed to get some photos of the bridal party out in the sun. In the end, instead of worrying about the rain, I should have worried about folk squinting in the bright August sunshine.
So these next few shots are from the bridal suite, with Lee and Deborah getting a little time out of the bothersome coastal breezes.
The rain did pay a brief visit, but we dodged it and it made for some nice reflections in the glass front of the hotel.
