Well, here I am gearing up towards the rush of Spring and summer weddings with my next wedding fayre on the 17th April I'll be along at the Pop Up Wedding Shop's event it the Mercure Hotel in Ayr.
My schedule has let me feed my inner geek as I attended Edinburgh Comic Con with friends last weekend and will be up at Dee Con in Dundee this weekend. Just happy snapping and admiring the various costumes and splashing out on the occasional item or two. Secretly I'm just on the hunt for a prop maker that can make me something for a future shoot, but shh.. don't tell anyone.
I branched out into a new arena (quite literally) the other week as I stood at ring side and took pictures with Ultra White Collar Boxing. Boxing's never been something that particularly appealed to me, and I have to say that watching these amateurs knock each other about the ring in aid of Cancer Research, I was quite happy being the other side of the ropes! I was there as an apprentice to see if it was something I might want to do in future. I'm still in two minds to be honest. However, I'll be photographing at another amateur event this Sunday in the local area, so maybe I'll suddenly get the bug.
Oh, and I also took a wee trip to a reservoir that a kind gentleman is giving me access to, along with a couple of rowing boats, for a shoot I have planned over summer.
