The other week I had the pleasure of returning to the beautiful Newhall Estate for a shoot.
I'd been there twice before for bridal shoots, though this time I had something quite different in mind.
With the help of Victoria and Marlene we took a trip out on a reservoir in amidst the hills. The owner of the estate had kindly offered to lend me his 4X4 to get up the reservoir, though little did I anticipate that he would lead us over the top of the hill and down the other side for a somewhat nerve wracking roller coaster across the farm tracks. It certainly woke me up after the drive through to the East.
A little arranging and changing and we rowed out onto the water. Though it was a calm beautiful day, the slight breeze had a tendency to blow us slowly to shore and I discovered the joy of trying to juggle the motion of two boats, the angle of the sun and the sheer surreality of the whole experience to get some great pictures at the end of it all.
