Friday saw me going on a voyage from one bit of the mainland to another, as I travelled to Dunoon on the Western Ferry. Pauline, a colleague from my day job, was getting married at the registry office in Castle House and had chosen me to record the simple ceremony and a few pictures with family and friends. I arrived early, as always, and quickly froze in the wind which was hitting the castle hill. The skies were grey and threatening rain so it all looked really promising. Pauline and Edward made their vows and we managed a small group shot with the family and friends present, before sending them to hide from the wind. A few windswept photos on top of the hill as well with the more hardy members of the party. We adjourned to the nearby restaurant where the guests were having a meal and managed a few more photos out in the back garden before the rain started and the meal started. It was a lovely relaxed wedding with everybody joking and laughing and even Pauline managed a smile or two.
